Mildred (Milly) Pangilinan-Flores is a certified and licensed Occupational Therapist who received her Occupational Therapy degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2002. Milly immediately began working in Pediatrics at the Children’s Center at Simi Valley Hospital in California where she completed her internship and worked for a year, starting her professional journey in the pediatric world.
In 2003, Milly moved to Arizona and continued working in pediatrics. She has found her true calling in pediatrics and has worked in this setting since. She has worked in private therapy clinics, in schools, and home health.
She has been fortunate to have been mentored personally by the late Lorna Jean King at CCNS on sensory processing disorders and sensory integration. She is also SIPT certified and has taken several courses training her in sensory integration. She is also trained in Handwriting Without Tears, in the Wilbarger Brushing protocol and in creating sensory diets.
Because of her playful nature, Milly has always been drawn to working with children with special needs especially children with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder. She is constantly taking courses to refine her skills as a pediatric occupational therapist so she could best serve her clients and the clients of her team.
Milly has always been passionate about caring for others and in teaching. In 2008, Milly created the occupational therapy internship program for occupational therapy students in the valley to mentor up and coming occupational therapy graduates, turning LIFE into an immediate teaching facility. Milly is presently the fieldwork coordinator for OT, PT, COTA, and PTA students.
In continuing to provide service to both clients and staff, Milly became the supervisor for occupational and physical therapy departments in 2010, uniting these two teams into one. When not at work, Milly spends her time weight training with her husband, reading, running, volunteering at her church, and fine tuning her guitar playing.

April Ariola is an ASHA certified Speech/Language Pathologist who received her Master of Science Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Marquette University in 1993. Following graduation, April moved to Kansas and began providing speech and language services to children from birth to three in the home environment.
In 1996, April moved to Las Vegas, NV where she spent many years working as a school speech language pathologist. April specialized in providing services in early childhood preschool classrooms and severe learning disabled/speech language specialized classrooms. It was there that April received vast experience collaborating with other disciplines.
Following a move to Arizona in 2004, April worked for 18 months in the private sector. April joined LIFE in October, 2007. Since joining LIFE, April has attended the following courses Verbal Behavior, Get Permission Approach to Sensory Mealtime Challenges and the Sequential Oral Sensory –Approach to Feeding. Following these courses, she has become passionate about providing therapy to children with feeding disorders.
April became one of our two Directors of Clinical Services in 2013. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
