CARRIE REED, CO-FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
ext. 206, firstname.lastname@example.org
Carrie is co-founder of Lauren’s Institute for Education. In addition, she is the mother of a child who is currently receiving services through the Arizona Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).
Carrie’s daughter, Lauren (which Lauren’s Institute for Education is named after) has a rare genetic disorder called Sanfillippo Syndrome, and because of this, Carrie has had to advocate for her daughter in both the health care arena and that of the Arizona State Services.
Carrie not only is a great source for other parents and will bring a sense of understanding and need from the perspective of a parent of a child with a disability, but she also brings with her a vast array of experience working in Health Related Professions. She has cared for a quadriplegic, worked in the physical therapy arena, and worked for a neurologist.
Carrie graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Arizona. L.I.F.E. will allow these very special kids to get all of their services in one place, making life easier on the kids as well as the parents.
Carrie’s passion for opening this center is based initially on inspiration from her daughter, but ultimately, it shows her passion for servicing the special children in our community.
