Music Therapist

HOLLY PERRY – MUSIC THERAPIST ext. 263, holly@laurensinstitute.org

Holly Perry has been surrounded by music all of her life. Growing up with both parents as music teachers and musicians, Holly found her own niche in the music world by starting out on the violin, singing in choirs, and learning various instruments during the summers at a young age. In her senior year in high school, she discovered the profession where she can use her musical abilities to enrich the well being of life for others, and fell in love with the concept immediately.

Holly pursued her passion for music therapy by earning her Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy at Arizona State University in 2006. She started out by providing home-based therapy services for children with developmental disabilities in the East Valley. She soon joined the family at Lauren’s Institute for Education in mid 2007 to provide clinic-based services among a supportive and collaborative team.

As a classically trained musician, Holly has played in orchestras and string quartets, but also enjoys a fun jam session in a folk band, improvising in a drumming circle, or figuring out a favorite tune on the piano.
