Melissa Marviglia, PT, DPT is the PT department supervisor at Lauren’s Institute For Education. She got her bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in physical therapy from Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, PA in 1999. From there, she returned to Arizona to attend graduate school for physical therapy at A.T. Still University. She did two of her four 8-week clinical rotations in pediatric settings, where her love of working with children grew even stronger. She graduated from there with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2002. She immediately began doing home health pediatric therapy after she was licensed in September of 2002, and did that until she began working at LIFE when it opened in August of 2007.

Melissa has continued her education over the years, receiving training in Neurodevelopmental Technique (NDT), Sensory Integration (SI), and Chronologically Controlled Developmental Therapy (CCDT). She has also had ongoing training in various types of orthotic devices. In 2009 she became an AHA Level 1 certified therapist in Hippotherapy. In addition to providing hippotherapy in the cooler months, she also provides aquatic PT in the summer. Her next career goal is to become certified in NDT by taking an 8-week pediatric certification course.

She currently lives in Queen Creek with her husband, Dave, and her two daughters, Emily and Samantha. Emily is 5 years-old, and Samantha is almost 3 years-old.
