THEORY OF LIFE
L.I.F.E. offers a variety of treatment options including:

- Group Habilitation Service L.I.F.E. Private academy
- Community-based Habilitation Services
Although the means by which these services are delivered, and the developmental skills they target vary from one discipline to another, all of L.I.F.E.’s services share these fundamental principles.
The staff at L.I.F.E. are dedicated to not only nurturing children’s overall growth but also improving their quality of life and that of their family. Our philosophy addresses the whole child, not just traditional areas of need. Through our eclectic approach we believe that a child’s emotional well-being, social/emotional awareness and self expression are as equally important to a child’s growth as is cognitive and physical functioning. We recognize and celebrate the unique characteristics of every child.
By using evidence based practices, L.I.F.E. strives to provide effective techniques which generalize outside of the therapeutic environment and ultimately contribute to life quality. We recognize there are many valid therapeutic approaches when working with children with developmental disabilities; however, we believe that blending these approaches is most effective in meeting the unique needs of each child.
Finding the right combination of treatment options and approaches to address the individual needs of a special needs child is a demanding, yet highly rewarding, task. L.I.F.E. staff members are challenged to expand their repertoire of interventions based on collaboration with other L.I.F.E. team members as well as current research findings to contribute towards best practices.
