Improving quality of life for the differently abled Children & Adults

Resource Team

My name is Ashley Watzke, I am married to an amazing man and we have two beautiful daughters. I attended Eastern Arizona College, where I majored in Early Childhood Education, with a minor in Special Education. Outside of work, I enjoy being with my family, camping, watching football (GO CARDINALS) and making memories with my children.

I have been in education for 10 years and still love it every day. I have been with Lauren’s Institute for Education for past 6 years and I have never been happier. I have had training in different areas which include: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), programming and using augmentative devices, Article 9, Direct Care Worker (DSW), applied behavior analysis, Prevention and Support, along with all the curriculum we use here at LIFE.

In my role I will strive to ensure we are providing the best possible care for our kiddos. I’m incredibly passionate about the work we do here. I look forward to coming to work everyday and having the opportunity to serve our kiddos and their families.

Zachary Price graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2014 with a B.S. in Speech Sciences and Technologies, along with a certificate for completion of the school’s Speech and Language Pathology Assistance (SLPA) program. Throughout the last two years of school, he also worked as a Habilitation and Respite provider through various agencies including LIFE.

After graduation, Zach completed his clinical internship with a local public elementary school district, shadowing and working with an SLP and SLPA with both general and special education students. After working as an SLPA at a local charter school, Zach began work at Lauren’s Institute in 2016 as a founding member of the Academy Resource Team, providing speech services and assistance to Academy students in the classroom.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie (an OT with LIFE) and young daughter Melody. Together, they enjoy movies and TV, comics, and trips to the zoo.

My name is Mike Wilson. I am a state and nationally licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist. I have been married to my wife Christine for twenty-four years. We are foster / adopt parents for children that have severe medical conditions or special needs. We have seven children at home from ages six to twenty. The oldest two are our own biological children and the other five children we have adopted. Our door is always open for a child in need. I have worked in the school health care setting for the past seven years and in a hospital working with adults and children for five years before that. I am a Star Wars fan and enjoy listening to country music and driving my Camaro.

I am proud to be the medical professional on campus here at LIFE. I look forward to caring for all the special children and staff here at LIFE. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns.
